International Nepali Literary Society, New York was estbalished in 2004 as a chapter of International Nepali Literary Society (INLS). INLS itself was established in 1991 in Washington DC and incorporated in the District of Columbia, USA. INLS is an international organization of volunteer members who are interested in languages, literature, art and music of Nepal. With the vision to keep Nepali identity alive and vibrant, INLS has above 55 chapters in 24 countries.
The mission of INLS is to preserve and promote Nepali Identity by uniting people of Nepali origin around the world through continuous encouragement for promotion of Nepali languages through writing, reading, publishing, distributing, and translating Nepali literature, culture, art, music and dance.
